Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam published a official notification today on various employment newspapers of Assam inviting applications from intending and eligible candidates having Indian Citizenship as defined in the Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their application form in the prescribed form of Application available in Part – IX of the Assam Gazette for filling up of the following vacant posts under Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam.
1) Sub Divisional Sports Officer:
Total Post: 01 Nos. [UR:01]
Pay Scale:
Candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 22,000 to 87,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 9,400 along with other applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree/Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India or 3 /4 years.B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India.
2) Physical Instructor:
Total Post: 25 Nos.

Pay Scale:
Candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 14,000 to 49,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700 along with other applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree/Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in India or 3 /4 years.B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University/Institution of Physical Education in Indi.
3) Junior Assistant:
Total Post: 02 Nos. [UR:02]
Pay Scale:
Candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 14,000 to 49,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 along with other applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification:
● Bachelor Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from a recognized University.
● 1 year Diploma in Computer Application, knowledge in DTP, Excel, Word Power Point Presentation, Internet Browsing etc.
4) Coach:
Total Post: 03 Nos. [SC:01 STP:01 STH:01]
Pay Scale:
Candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 14,000 to 49,000 with Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700 along with other applicable allowances.
Educational Qualification:
● Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with one year Diploma in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from any other Institute recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.
● Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with Diploma in Method of Instruction Course and Basic & Advance Course in Mountaineering from recognized Institution.
Age Criteria for Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare Assam Recruitment 2020:
The age of the candidates must not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2020. Upper age limit is relaxable
by 5 years in case of SC and ST Candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates only.
