1) Name of the Post: Assistant Librarian
Total Posts: 01 Nos. (UR)
Pay Scale:
After joining candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 14,000 to 60,500 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7,400 along with other allowances applicable as per Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification:
● Diploma in Library Science or above from a Govt. recognized university.
● Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in a Library belonging to Government organization and having knowledge of Library management.
2) Name of the Post: Library Assistant
Total Posts: 02 (UR:01 STP:01)
Pay Scale:
After joining candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 14,000 to 60,500 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 along with other allowances applicable as per Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification:
● Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary examinations in any stream from a recognized University/Council/Board and having a Diploma in Library Science or its equivalent from a recognized institute.
● Preference will be given to candidates possessing additional qualifications especially in Library Science.
● Must have experience in using computer and computer applications, working with library software and digital library management systems.
3) Name of the Post: Junior Assistant
Total Post: 01 (OBC/MOBC:01)
Pay Scale:
After joining candidates will get a basic pay of Rs. 14,000 to 60,500 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200 along with other allowances applicable as per Government of Assam rules.
Educational Qualification:
● The candidate must possess a Bachelors degree from a recognized University or any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
● Moreover, the candidate must possess minimum six (6) months diploma in basic computer skills or equivalent.
Required Age Qualification for Assam Administrative Staff College Recruitment:
The age of the candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as on
01/01/2020. However, the upper age limit is relaxable by:
● 5 years for ST/SC candidates
● 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
